Defining Hate Speech

There is a reason that our very first amendment in our Bill of Rights is freedom of speech.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press…”

There is zero wiggle room there for “hate speech” laws. The Founders understood that people should be responsible for their actions, that violence can be legislated against, but that speech is sacred and worthy of protection, via violence (Second Amendment) if necessary.
